EXPERIENCE & INSPIRATION: Art Creates Community
In partnership with The Kenneth A. Picerne Foundation, an exploration of visual, literary and performing art works created through
the Foundation's Senior Artist Project Grant. The exhibit, Experience & Inspiration: Art Creates Community, showcased paintings, music, poetry,
writings, mixed media and more created by underserved groups, such as at-risk children, low income seniors, disabled Veterans and victims of
domestic violence. All participants were mentored by accomplished older adult artists. www.picernefoundation.org
SPIRAL BOUND: The Spiritual Journey of Aging
In cooperation with the Center For Spirituality & Aging, a Call-For-Proposals
celebrated 20 amazing concepts that best exemplified the theme and focus of the exhibit.
EVERYONE HAS A STORY TO SHARE:
An Intergenerational Story-Sharing Project
StoryArts, Inc. coordinated the collaboration between a meaningful story from a senior’s life and its visualization by local youths
who created unique, handcrafted books that brought each tale to life.
THE CONTEMPORARY SCROLL: Visual Explorations
This exhibit originally curated by the San Diego Art Institute, featured contemporary
artistic visions and interpretations of the ancient Dead Sea Scrolls.
