Sheldon Edelstein
Kingsley Manor Resident

In high school, Sheldon considered becoming an architect, but said he didn’t think he was good enough at math to do so. Instead, he decided to become a commercial interior designer. He spent his career creating designs in the business arena.

Inspired by his uncle’s watercolors (his uncle was an architect), Sheldon thought maybe he could also learn to paint. He studied painting under Kirk Miller for 20 years in Orange County and says he and Kirk have been friends for 30 years now and continue to talk regularly and love discussing art.

Sheldon finds the two most important aspects of a painting to be perspective and composition. He teaches art at Kingsley Manor where he has lived for almost four years.
