Surfing Madonna Oceans Project

Embark on a visual odyssey into the enchanting world of our ocean environment at this regional art show. Featuring top artists from Southern California, the exhibition spans diverse mediums, including photography, fiber arts, paintings, mosaic, assemblage, and collage. Five local poets will also weave ocean-inspired tales during the reception.

Our goal is simple: to invite you to appreciate the ocean through the diverse lenses of these creatives, fostering creative engagement and environmental stewardship. Join us as art meets advocacy, celebrating the beauty and

Surfing Madonna Oceans Project is a 501c3 nonprofit based in Encinitas, California and was officially formed in 2013 by Robert Nichols and Mark Patterson (artist of the Surfing Madonna mosaic).

Surfing Madonna Oceans Project wants to spread a message of hope and appreciation for the ocean and support the arts. They believe that creating art and public appreciation of art increases cognitive abilities and eases anxiety and depression in these difficult times. Art can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world.
