Front Porch Gallery is located at 2903 Carlsbad Blvd, Carlsbad, CA 92008 and shares a physical location with Carlsbad By The Sea. We are just a short walk from the beach.

The Gallery is typically open Wednesday - Friday 11AM - 5PM, Saturdays Noon - 4pm, with some variation during exhibits and special events.

Exhibits and Art

We present rotating exhibitions of contemporary art, including painting, photography, mixed media, fiber arts, sculpture, and community-based installations. Many exhibits are juried or curated around themes that reflect creativity, aging, and social connection.

Most of our on-going programming is drop-in, but some of our artist-led workshops have limited capacity and require advance registration. Details and registration links are available on our PROGRAMS page.

While we have a strong focus on creative aging and serving older adults, our programs welcome participants of all ages and foster intergenerational connection.

No. All of our programs are free and open to the public.

The answer is simple: we’re fortunate to receive support from Front Porch Communities Foundation who underwrites the cost, making these opportunities accessible to everyone in our community. Each class is valued at $50 per person, and we pay our talented teachers to bring their expertise to you.

Not at all. Many of our visitors come alone, and the space is warm, friendly, and open to conversation—or quiet reflection, if that’s more your style.

At this time, the Gallery is focused on exhibitions and community programming and does not rent out space for private events.

Visitor Experience

Yes, the Gallery is fully accessible to visitors with mobility needs. Accessible parking and restrooms are also available. We are committed to making art experiences welcoming for people of all abilities. To support a wide range of access needs, we offer:

Free street parking is available near the Gallery, but it can be limited—especially on weekends and in the summertime. We recommend arriving a few minutes early.

We follow current public health guidelines. Masking is optional unless otherwise stated for specific events. Please stay home if you're feeling unwell.

Yes, well-behaved pets are currently welcome at Front Porch Gallery. While we don’t have a formal pet policy, we ask that animals remain leashed and under control at all times. If a pet becomes disruptive or poses a risk to artwork or visitors, we may ask the owner to step outside at our discretion. Service animals are always welcome.

Yes, most pieces in our exhibitions are available for purchase. A price list is available at the front desk or by request.
