Paste Paper Artist’s books Class a two part series

Pre-registration with Front Porch Gallery is required by August 1st

Paste Paper – Part 1 of 2

Date: August 6th
Time: 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM

Join the FPG to make paste paper masterpieces with Renée Richetts. Paste paper is a surface decorating technique in which a mixture of paint and paste is applied to paper, then partially removed to create a one-of-a-kind pattern. Our August hot weather is perfect. Each color layer will dry FAST. We might even be able to add a second color layer for a most spectacular final effect.

Renée’s approach to making the paste is beyond easy. No cooking required: you can truly do this anywhere (how about at the beach?

Renée will provide materials, tools and ideas.

You bring an apron to protect your clothes, and more ideas.

You have your paste paper sheets, now what to do with them?

Renée Richetts will demonstrate two artist’s book formats. You will use the paper you decorated to produce books so original that they scream “I. Made. This!!!}

Not able to attend the class on Thursday the 6th, but still want to make artist’s books? No worries, Renée will provide materials, tools and ideas. Pre-registration with Front Porch Gallery is required by August 1st

All materials provided. No experience necessary.
