Our weekly Paper Craft and Collage Cafè program invites participants to dive into the world of paper arts in a low-stress, social environment. Each session offers a new opportunity to experiment with collaging, paper weaving, flower making, and other methods of paper manipulation. We source collage materials from magazines and other places, prepare materials using a variety of techniques such as gelli plate printing and abstract painting, and then use those materials to create art pieces. No prior experience needed!

Join us for Virtual Studio, our free weekly online art workshop led by Ruth’s Table teaching artists. Experiment, create, and learn together with art materials at home! Each week features a different project with opportunities for experimentation and skill building.
Sessions are one hour. A demonstration of materials and techniques is included, along with time for making and sharing with fellow participants.
Suggested Supplies: Registrants will receive an email 2-3 days before the program with workshop info, a list of suggested materials and info for accessing the workshop.

Whether you’re new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, all levels are invited to experience this gentle yet powerful practice that focuses on balance, heart-opening, and deep connection. Led by a certified yoga instructor, this class will guide you through longer-held poses that allow you to truly experience the full benefits of yoga. With a focus on listening to your body and practicing at your own pace, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your mind-body connection in a relaxed and welcoming environment filled with beautiful artwork. We start and end each class with a calming meditation, and after class, enjoy some tea and community support.

Social Emotional Arts Storytelling - Fairy Tales

Unlock your creativity through body, words, and voice in this soulful three part workshop designed to awaken creativity, deepen self-awareness and foster community. Craft your own original fairy tale using a mix of writing prompts and plot ideas.
Part 1: Dance and move to inspirational music
Part 2: Write a short fairytale.
Part 3: Gather in a circle to share our experience.

Visitors are invited to create, connect, and contribute to a growing collection of community-made art. All ages are welcomed with open arms, hearts, and minds to join the fun and spread the love. The creativity is flowing, the laughter is contagious, and the vibes are high!

MOHAI (Messenger of Hope and Inspiration) Dolls

MOHAI Dolls
A MOHAI doll is a Messenger of Hope and Inspiration. It is a doll that you create using scrap material, old jewelry and your imagination. Once created, your doll will take on a personality that resonates within you, giving you power, words of wisdom or inspiration. The process of making a doll invites you to search inward to see what it is that is important to you. Come and partake in the magic making.

Sun Printing

This sun printing workshop introduces participants how to create beautiful handmade art pieces. Harness the power of the sun to create photographic art without using a camera by using cutout paper shapes or botanic materials on acrylic treated surfaces or light sensitive paper. Participants will have the opportunity to expose fabric or paper to experiment and create samples to take home.
Suggested Supplies: All materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring cotton fabric, paper cutouts, or your own leaves and botanic materials.

Scrappy Fabric and Paper Vessels
Thursday, August 28, 2025
11:00AM - 1:00PM
In this workshop, you will make one or more sturdy and artistic bowls or vessels from scraps of fabric or paper or both. The final size of the vessel will be determined by the container or balloon you choose to use. We will be using wheat paste, which when dry, is incredibly strong. Prepare to get a little messy, but the final results are one-of-a-kind beautiful art pieces.
Allergy Warning: Wheat paste
Suggested Supplies: All materials will be provided. Wear clothing that can get messy.
